Villa Adriana in Rome was built in sometime between 118 AD and 134 AD, as a private summer retreat. Villa Adriana in Rome is also famous as Hadrian’s Villa which was once a vast open-air museum featuring the finest architecture of ancient Rome. This Imperial palace is built on an area of around 120 hectares or 300 acres and was jammed with the reproductions of the favorite buildings of the emperor from Greece and Egypt. Excavation process on this site got started in the 16th century. The remnants of many of those buildings still lie in the surrounding area of the Villa Adriana in Rome. Some of those ruins are yet to be identified.
